Description The Vagina’s Monologues
The “strong” half of humanity can only guess what the weaker sex is silent about. And not every female company decided to admit about the sore. Unexpected truth opens to the stunned audience in the controversial play “The Vagina’s Monologues”. Quite natural feelings will not disappear from women's lives, if they are just too shy to speak about it. It’s time to call a spade a spade!
The characters of young actresses Marina Rokina, Ilona Markarova and Natalia Parashina shamelessly throw of shackles of stereotypes and remove to the public the intimate details, in order that people finally understand each other. The play is popular worldwide, Ingeborga Dapkunaite, Salma Hayek and Glenn Close are already took part in it.
Impressive Lilia Kiselenko’s costumes look “physiological”, so they create the illusion that the monologue comes not from the woman herself, but from her nature. The main leader of the action is Giuliano di Capua. Experience of life in St. Petersburg helped the Director to adapt acclaimed play by Eve Ensler for Russian-speaking audience.
